Success means saying you're sorry

According to Zogby International, there's a strong correlation between your willingness to apologize and your potential income level.

In a survey sponsored by The Pearl Outlet, Zogby found a significant link:

Americans earning over $100,000 a year are almost twice as likely to apologize after an argument with their other half as those earning under $25,000... ...the more you apologize, the more you earn.

And, as the old adage goes, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask permission:

Terry Shepherd, President of The Pearl Outlet, has his own theory: "Maybe higher-earners apologize more because, as someone once said, it's easier to apologize afterwards than to ask permission beforehand -- and high-earners ask permission less."

It's an interesting read. Highly recommended.

Earning more means you have to apologize more.

Americans earning over $100,000 a year are almost twice as likely to apologize after an argument with their other half as those earning under $25,000... ...the more you apologize, the more you earn.

Um... another way of looking at this: The more you earn, the more you have to (or feel you have to) apologize.

Statistics 101: Correlation is not causation.
